Ms. Pamela Hodge's Personal Page

I grew up in a suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota with my parents, one older brother, and one younger sister. My dad was a science teacher and we lived in a four-person tent and camped all summer every summer in many different states.

I like to travel and have been to 49 of the 50 states. Alaska is still on my "to visit" list.

I have explored 13 different countries, thanks in part to my husband's career.

I met my husband, Paul T. Beisser, III, in Greeley, Colorado. He was a prior Army officer and a current nursing student, while I was a phlebotomist and college student. In 1984, we had my dream wedding, which was to be barefoot and outdoors in the mountains, in Rocky Mountain National Park near Estes Park, Colorado.

I have worked at various jobs in various fields since I was 16 years old. I consider teaching my first career.

Paul joined the Air Force as a Second Lieutenant the year we married and we spent the next 18 years following the motto: "Home is where the Air Force sends you."

We had our son, Jake K. Dudley, in 1992. I was lucky enough to be able to stay home to raise him for ten years. He is now a senior at Madison High School.

Paul retired in 2002 and we ended up in Rexburg, Idaho. Part of the reason is Rexburg's proximity to Dubois, WYOMING where we have had five acres on the Wind River since 1988.

I spend as much of my summers as possible in Wyoming hiking in the mountains, hanging out in one of our two cabins, fishing (or reading while pretending to fish) in the river, and watching the stars at night. Someday we plan to retire completely and raise llamas on our land. We will need them to carry our stuff so we can spend longer days and nights in the wilderness.
