9 English

9th grade English

Both 9th grade English classes will have an end of course assessment that counts for 10% of the student's grade. This will be given in a pretest and final with only the final counting towards the final grade.

Both 9th grade English classes will have an independent novel study that the student will have most of the trimester to complete. This will be presented to the class at the end of the trimester.

All 9th grade English students will need a 70-100 page spiral or composition journal to be their "English Journal." This is for our beginning of class board work and will include writing on a journal prompt and D.O.L. (daily oral language=grammar). This will be collected and graded periodically.

A personal picture journal may be required for either or both classes at Ms. Hodge's discretion.
